Manifest
I consider May 2011 as the start of the corporation, marked by the opening of the first Airbnb apartment in Tallinn. Despite my prior engagements in various projects and businesses, it was during this time that we witnessed stable and continuous growth. Since then, a multitude of experiences have unfolded – thoughts have been pondered, decisions have been made, mistakes have been acknowledged, dreams have been envisioned, and both shared victories and bitter losses have been experienced. Yet, I have feeling that everything is just beginning now…
I find parallels between a business organization and the human body compelling. Similar to the human body, a business entity requires ongoing attention to maintain its health. When growth stops, the process of decline sets in. Just like a malfunctioning organ can impair the entire body, the failure of one aspect within an organization can disrupt its overall functioning. However, the crucial point to remember is that, akin to how the human body’s purpose is not solely to produce blood, a business organization’s purpose is not merely to generate money. (I might have just lost our final investors!). So, what is the actual purpose of the human body? Certainly not just to achieve moments of pleasure. Just as an individual’s aim is to seek happiness, a business organization’s goal is to foster happiness – among oneself, colleagues, customers, partners, investors, and all others involved. This belief shapes our interactions, as we strive to treat everyone we encounter with love and respect.
Life is wonderful,
